flying to freedom … there are just some books that you can’t put down. maswerte ako dahil pinahiram ako ni maki ng mga librong ito. tenks maki! i devoured each book overnight. grabe, marerealize ko nalang na umaga na pala. lol. before anything else though, this isn’t a review. di ako nagrereview ng books and what not dito sa melaikick, just sharing some thoughts. kekeke?

the first book is called the hunger games and we’d meet the heroes of course, katniss and peeta. and they survive their first hunger games in that book. the second is catching fire, where they sort of have a victory tour which ends up in chaos and a war starts. and the third one, mockinjay, wherein katniss leads everyone to defeat the enemy and end the war.

so i was reading the books at a time when i was being kept down by the unjust use of one’s authority. kakaiba talaga ang mga monsters sa buhay ko, although this one wasn’t as smart as the others, it pole dances and has an ugly bald head. hehehe! dinedescribe ko lang, do not scold me! (this is an inside joke, dear readers, mwah.) ayun, feeling ko tuloy para akong si katniss, yung bida sa trilogy. all throughout the story, she was fighting hardships and oppression… fighting to stay alive.

sa bandang huli, katniss was successful and it kind of inspired me. i’m still on my way and everyday i am fighting to survive. and everyday, life gets better and better. in case you’re wondering, i’ve already defeated that monster that i mentioned though, i consider it one of my personal triumphs. hehehe! but going back, what i’ve learned can be summarized from this line in mockingjay, “the promise that life can go on, no matter how bad our losses. that it can be good again.”

so eun, if you haven’t read these books, and uh… just in case meron din kayong kinakalabang mga monsters, hehehe, this is ozummmm.

yun lang.

excuse me, your life is waiting… max has had this book since last year and i wish i had read it sooner, kinarir ko to habang nag-training! nyahahaha! nga pala, walang reviews dito sa melaikick… just thoughts, kekeke? this was written by lynn grabhorn though kung gusto ninyong i-google.

sa unang tingin para siyang self-help book, it’s most probably going to be categorized as one though… but it’s a funny book filled with experiences that describe how we can bring positive energy into our lives. it kind of tells us that the way we feel is the way we attract stuff, events, even the people in our lives. for example,  kung inisip mo na hindi ka papasa sa exam… malamang hindi ka nga papasa.

it’s kind of crazy and hard to believe at first, but i tried it and it works. it’s similar to what they study in the noetic sciences. ito yung sinasabi nilang good vibes chenes. in short, we don’t focus on the bad things. we feel what we desire and that’s what we are exactly going to get. so eun, melaikick greatly recommends! aba, i’d rather read this kesa naman ma-nosebleed ako sa noetics. hehehe.

yun lang. much love to you!

i used to like reading books when i was younger. we had a small collection of books at dahil sa bulprisa, i was forced to read the dictionary… twice. nyahaha! kaya lang after high school i started doing more writing until di na rin ako nakakabili ng libro. come to think of it, the last book that i read completely, round early last year, was a book about a hero named drizzt do’ urden from the forgotten realms.

but since i’m kind of distracting myself from stuff, i thought why not read again? i picked a copy of dan brown’s lost symbol a few weeks back. i saved the last chapter to read today.

arsenal ayan o … took out max’s miming scrunchie, para sa buhok kong magulo ; chocolate sticks from the local drugstore and a nice old bear.

see? hahaha! bago ko pala makalimutan, this isn’t a review of the book… just some thoughts about it. dan brown’s books always leave me panting… well not in the kind you imagined. eh i was thinking of the word ‘breathless’ but… it’s kind of all over. hee! nakakapagod siyang basahin actually. kapag climax na ng isang chapter it would transition. and then, you won’t be able to stop reading because you’d want to know what will happen next.

it’s still about one of robert langdon’s adventures, this time about symbols in the us capitol. and as it’s dealing with more and more words, i absolutely loved it… hehehe, typographer love. kind of want to get a tattoo now too, the book deals with a lot of them. aside from symbols, it talks about how through determination we could do the impossible. i was reading through a bit of a rough time, so i guess i was encouraged by it.

the lost symbol and the lost… err girl? nyahahaha! well, madalas akong maligaw sa trinoma and i will never remember the buildings in makati. anyhoo, the story ends the way it always ends, robert langdon is able to find the treasure. eh ako? aside from all that knowledge on symbols, the most important lesson i learned from it is that there’s just so many things i am capable of doing… as long as i put my mind to it. o hai guys, i will start cooking nao… hehehe! it’s just one ozumm book.
