the mind museum

on:decided to finally see the mind museum some weeks back… it initially had so so reviews so i thought it’d be better to wait it out a bit then my bestfriend went and posted pixxors and that made me want to go too, heehee. got the ticket at a discounted price din, huzzah!
the museum has a beehive honeycomb theme thing going on… the signs are all in hexagons! i liked the one in the pixxor a lot, reminds me of solo adventures.
of course they’d have chemistry stuff with atoms, elements, and a giant melting chocolate bar… you know, the usual stuff.
the lightbridge where they showcased rainbows and other light interactions with matter. it leads to…
outerspace! the spacesuit’s pretty cool and i happened to catch venus on the lookout. i hope they update this part of the museum though, there’s new stuff from the voyager missions… used to read about those, found them most interesting.
aside from space, i also got to travel back in time with some fossils. archaelogy was the second thing i liked reading about after space explorations when i was younger and the interwebs was still on dial up, lol. anyhoo, it was at that part of the museum where i met…
my new friend, stan the t-rex… he really needs a hug. he’s big on charming the ladies though, there were many girls lining up to take a selfie with him.
there were many other science stuff around like a salad mix of anatomy, physics, and biology, which was my least favorite subject back in school, lol. they made us stab frogs, ugh. although the biology stuff at the mind museum were not as gross. after a few more rounds and reading, i went to the second floor…
this part of the museum contains things that we do, our expressions, inventions, even aesthetics.
played with some convex and flat mirrors, hihi.
then they have this sort of miniature replicas of ships and stuff. i specially liked the hubble telescope and space shuttle and the chinese junk and the galleon.
some food for your thoughts? the second floor also has the mind cafe, where science quotes are displayed on the walls for us to mull over…
however if you do get hungry, there’s always kyle’s lab with museum themed food. i had pesto dinosaurs and strawberry iced tea with popping spheres, very creative names, yes? also, they tasted good.
after eating, i headed to the mind museum store to buy some souvenirs, there were lots to choose from like seed bombs, miniature animals… the cats were adorable, rocket ship tumblers, and books. i ended up with a shirt though, because the design was really nice.
looked around science in the park before i went home… didn’t we play around after school when we were younger? hehe, i hope they improve the space gallery soon, might come back to check out new stuff at the museum store too.
yun lang.
