one extremely rainy morning, maki and i decided to eat out at up town center… and we ended up eating at boon tong kee. i like teasing restaurant staff at times and boon tong kee had friendly ones, so they played along when we were inquiring and they in turn enticed us with their laksa. hehehe, smart ones too. and so we got…

prawn chips … you get these for free while you wait. standard prawn chips but i liked the shape of the bowl.

iced tea … default for me. i was so hungry and wanted to annoy maki… but then she’s already immune to me documenting my food.

laksa … what we came to boon tong kee for. it was my first time to try laksa and it was great! it’s kind of like a combination of spicy noodles and curry. it also came in a giant bowl, all the laksa you want!

chicken rice … it’s a pretty pyramid of flavorful, kind of hipster rice. hehe.

coffee pork ribs … i ordered this because of the word coffee because i hadn’t slept yet that day. lol. but this best thing they have i think, a bit bitter because of the coffee and crispy, it was really good!

so eun, busog nanaman. wish maki would stop being such a busy bee so we can have more food adventures, might have to drag her back. heehee.

the moment i read rick riordan’s funny dedication in one of the house of hades’ first pages, i knew it was going to be an ozumm book. and yes it was a really great read! it picks up from where the mark of athena left, you know, that cliffhanger at the end where you had to wait for a year just to know what happened, hehehe. the house of hades begins with percabeth’s journey through tartarus and the other demigods’ travels to the doors of death with focus on, yeah well, hades’ or pluto’s children.

i’m not a big fan of the titanomachy in greek mythology, yet the book made the story really funny and light. as usual, rick riordan gives everything a modern twist, and there were a few surprises like nico liking percy and leo getting a girlfriend! but my favorite part is when bob gave his life for percabeth. *sobs*  friendship is something very important to me, you know.

oh and frank is now praetor! heehee. here’s a shout out to rick riordan, kind sir, thanks for not trolling us so much on this book, lol.

yun lang. go now and read the book, if you haven’t!
