sa buhay ko, ang daming monster at kalaban. i faced a class s halimaw today. (although when i post this, it would probably be a different day…) and worse meron pa siyang mga alalay na class a. huhuhu. i was badly hurt. degree of damage, you ask? damage to the extremes, i barely made it alive and i’m actually bleeding to death… irl, this translates to, i cried the whole day and i’m still crying as of the moment… it’s got something to do with losing my family, (we can say that it’s a possible consequence of that halimaw attack…) the real one, not those blood relatives. i shudder at the thought.
i have a life outside of my noobcakes but my life mainly focuses around them now and my love for them will always be. siguro, naiisip nyo… nako, heto nanaman si melai. but i can’t help it. hay, tama na nga itong emo shert na to. my eyes hurt so much, my nose is too stuffy, and my heart is in a great deal of pain already. ang kulit mo melai!
pero… sabi nga ang bida, nagpapabugbog muna. hindi pwedeng mamatay, tama? wahaha. (i’m crying and laughing at the same time, amf.) so, anong panglaban sa halimaw? sa ghost fighter, super powers eh. nah, i don’t have those. ano meron ako? heto o…
shinobi no mirae by melaikick
hahaha. meron akong mga ninja bodyguards! this is my first graphic art, inspired by a real life ninja? nyahaha… wag daw akong sumuko. shinobi no mirae. ano kamo?! shinobi is actually a synonym of the word ‘ninja’ at mas ginagamit nila yan sa japan. di daw kasi kaya ipronounce masyado ng mga foreigner kaya mas sikat ang salitang ninja sa ibang bansa. mi rae (mi rey) on the other hand is my korean name. coincidentally, there is a japanese word, ‘mirai’ (mi ra ee). both words mean “future” but i’d like to retain the letter e since these are my ninja.
i’ve named them too! hehehe. ito ang nagagawa ng kalungkutan… from left we have, kancho (spy); koran (agitator) ; teisatsu (scout); and kisho (surprise attacker). oha oha. and all of them are jonin or the highest rank ha. i also added some akatsuki clouds. obvious, nagbabasa ako ng naruto. ahihi.
next time that horrible monster attacks, i’ll be more prepared. mejo low level pa ang buff, resu, at heal ko pero fight-o!

dahil lahat ay bisi, dahil ulit ulit nalang ang lahat, dahil sugat na sugat na ang puso ko… eh di maghanap ng distraction! sabi nga naman ng boss ko noon, “kehsa naman drugs!” nyahaha. so ano kaya? cooking … not really my cup of tea. photography? nah. i’m not the resident photographer, though i’m saving for a nice entry level canon. music? not in the mood as of the moment. then i happened to click on a deviantart link about photoshop. i thought, why not? i explored my options… eh di ayan!
i’ve been studying typography art for two weeks now… with adobe photoshop cs3 and illustrator as gears. well, habang naglalaro ng plants vs. flowers at pet society. nyaha. i hope you guys enjoy my very first typography art. here it is…

the cvg eco bag

i hope i don’t get in trouble… boss, blogger lang po. hahaha. we receive lots (ubo ubo) of stuff from work, from food and tumblers to gift cheques and cash… but this is the first time i received something i really like… behold, the convergys eco bag!
it was given as a loot bag during halloween. my boss put lots of chocolee. wahaha. tenks boss!
reduce. re-use. recycle. nga naman mga inday!
it’s nice to work for a company that’s concerned about the environment. so… yeah. help save the world from an attack of the giant plastic monster bag. hahaha. an eco bag has many other uses but currently i’ve been using it for…
… lalagyan ng laundry. hahaha. it’s a big canvass bag eh, and it can carry around three kilos of clothes. and the guard at our condo won’t think i’m carrying a dead body. i used to put my laundry inside black trash bags. hahaha. baket ba?
… pamalengke? hehe. no more flimsy single user plastic bags… good for waste reduction. good for the tindera, who saves cash. lolz.

plants vs. zombies … me want brain!

a few days back, just out of the blue, i was asked by miming (parang lahat ata ng post ko meh special mention ka?) to download some weird sounding monster game, plants vs. zombies… saying that it was ‘cute’. hehehe, it was… i’m so hooked into this that i’d rather play and pig out in from of the computer than go to the mall. the last time i did this was when i downloaded luxor. nyahaha. yehes, magpaalam ka na sa social life mo, melai!
ok nga, it’s just in time for halloween, (happy halloween guys >^.^<) when there’s nothing on tv but gory shows. wahaha. can’t wait to see the gory details of my meralco bill though. my computer’s been on for the longest time…

alam nyo naman, we don’t do details here at melaikick. but i have a good guide here. so, konting konting details lang… it’s a game of defense. protektahan mo ang bahay mo laban sa kampon ng kasamaan sa pamamagitan ng pagtatanim. wah-chaaa! ay teka, evil din pala ako. nyahaha.
i hate cooking but i’m a good gardener, irl-wise (is there such a word?) hehe, sorry naman… the plants, the things you use to protect your house, just reminded me of the small garden i used to tend to waaaaay back. would have loved to have a real manyak eating plant or a bad customer eating plant… nyahahaha.

there are nice plants in this game, zombie eating plants, pea pod shooters, water lilies for floating purposes, cherry bombs (fireworks irl-fyi-lolz), tapos sunlight from the sunflowers. honga naman! there are non-plant arsenal too like stars…
pero my favorite is the walnut… bakit? lam mo na… ang cute! mataba saka bilog ang mata… looks like a constipated nut. but it gets eaten in a horrible way, naawa ako sa kanya kapag kinakain na siya ng zombie.
on the other hand, the zombies… are totally funny. naisip ko nung una, regular zombies lang but most of them are ridiculous! there’s a newspaper zombie, a screendoor zombie, small zombies… hahaha, you name it. my favorite? even though it’s a low level zombie, nothing beats the michael jackson zombie… it even has back up zombie dancers! yeah, i know, right? bwahahahaha.

the girly girl girl

isang araw nagising nalang ako na babae na ako! nyahahaha! waaaay back in college, i did all the extra-curriculars possible so i lived in converse and flats and tees. puro takbo takbo kasi between org meetings and class. my hair wouldn’t curl too so when i graduated, i was the only one with super straight hair. nyahahaha.
when i started work, my boss was absolutely cool. and he wore those rubbershoes that are like top of the line… wahaha, hip hop ang boss ko and the team was comprised of kuyas who have the same style. thus, i bought my nikes. nyahaha. rubbershoes pa den! oh yeah i have a pair of silver nikes to which miming quips “bakit siya makintab??? bakeeeeeet?” lolz.
moving on… the boy look did mellow out… but it went on leave after i bought a sophie bag… eherrrm, more like… walang choice, hahaha. nah, it’s really nice and i love it. it’s a tiny black one with ribbon and lace. hyeah… you get the picture. there’s no way i could wear converse with that bag. so… say hello to melai, the girly girl girl.
my closet’s been eating cardigans and dresses and frilly, lacey stuff. and my shoes… they still kick ass but in a pretty way. ahihi!

miming knows how to rock!
the first time i saw miming, he was bobbing his head on a post at the att floor… sobrang high energy, malayo palang alam mo na kung nasaan siya. tinawag ko siyang miming kasi singkit tapos kinikuskos nya yung ulo niya sa mga tao. hahaha. ang cute! anyway, it’s his 23rd birthday today! happy birthday miming! at dahil hapon ka, otanjoubi omedeto!
it’s been more than a year at madami siyang level up … meaning dami siyang new toys! most special of which i guess is his darling baby bassey, eun sobrang galing na niya tumugtog… hahaha… ayan kaya ganyan ang pic ngayon. the picture was taken from lolcats.com.
he’s been a great friend, a good listener, trustworthy (honesty is one value, i learned from him… teka honest naman ako hahaha pero, sa kanya ko nakita kung gaano ka-importante yun), and as he tries to understand others (pansin nyo to joolee, kuya gabs, and jaja diba?), the more he becomes compassionate.
so always be a good cat ha. wag kalimutang matulog! hurr! kahit imortal ka pa, kailangan mo ng pahinga at kumain din ng madami, wag lang noodles, aysauce! hahaha. at siyempre, laging maliligo ha. >^.^<

from dubai with love

my family has been feuding since i was a kid… hehe no need to elaborate on the broken slash fighting family stuff … meron pa din naman kakampi! hahaha. there will always be exceptions… like my ates. they used to suffer but now they’re in dubai with all the cute boys… awright!

my ates… they’re the eldest pair of cousins i have. si ate bing na ang tunay na pangalan ay sharon. at si ate dong na ang tunay na pangalan ay madonna. oha, mga artista! i remember when we were in gradeschool, my ates were in college i guess, when balik-bayan boxes were opened, the old folks used to call our names out for pasalubong. and sisters had to share of course, i remember hearing a melodious jingle of “dong-bing… dong-bing… dong-bing…” hahaha.
all the pretty ladies (in our sad family at least)
we met a day before they had to go back for dubai. their dad, our uncle cesar, had died so they had to come home… nagwindowshopping kami for a bit. ate dong, who has a penchant for winnie the pooh, went around looking for shirts, she found a nice pink one with piglet in the middle. then quipped “pero bawal ang baboy sa dubai!” hahaha. they also had taken a liking for havaianas… (ehe me too!) and told me it’s was also expensive there.
we talked some more about girl stuff (boys… etc.) and of course, the inevitable… the miseries and unfairness of things going around in our family… it was sad and they all cried, even my little sister. the thing is, i didn’t… i felt sad, yes… but i guess my tears have been all been spent. ates…if ever you’ll read this post… someday, there’ll be a time that justice will be served for us. and when that time comes, we’ll be sending in a picture of the four of us sporting smiles, probably an insolent smile from me… and dining in the burj al arab (ehem ehem, oh yes, the luxury hotel with the billowing sail) insert evil melai laugh here.

cookie monster bading?!
i made some cookies for my birthday kick … baket ba, it does not require cooking. hahaha. they were short-lived. i call them cookicks… no-bake, fuss-free, at puno ng pagmamahal! hehe. ok ok… chef melai is back!

the last time i celebrated my birthday, pinaiyak ako ng mga cakes na to… hanggang ngayon pinaiyak pa din ako… we ended the day watching ‘memories of matsuko’ (my patience! grabe ang tagal pala magdownload ng movie sa torrent chervams…) which is too much of a tearjearker, isa ka ng bato kung hindi ka iiyak… but this is what really made me cry…

since college, i’ve lived with this quote “the greatest love is within your sacred heart, love without expectation… all people, all of the time…” miming tells me that it’s my weakness… hahaha. but, love is freely given… isn’t it? and yuuuu, do not forget i have given you my everlasting love, umayos yuuuu! hahaha. here’s another one of those fiction thingies that i do… it’s inspired by the quote above, please enjoy…

the girl
she looks like a high schooler, a small face with big black eyes and shiny hair… she is average when she stands, not too tall, not too small… it is her smile though that imprints in others as she seldom smiles… but when she does, it is the sweetest.
she looks at the young man sleeping beside her… both of them were half-naked but found comfort in each other’s arms… she knows she will never be his but that is okay… she is happy to just simply be. because love is… free… freely given. just then, he stirs… he sees her gazing at him and gives her a soft kiss on the lips… she kisses back. she strokes his hair gently and he falls back to sleep… she smiles.
the window emits a bit of light, she pushes the curtain to see that the dark night sky has turned into a glorious light purple. she puts on one of those oversized white shirts lying around and moves to the kitchen… she starts making breakfast. her delicate scent covered by the smell of coffee, toast, bacon, and eggs…
she rests on one of the kitchen chairs for a bit and stares lovingly at the food she prepared …then with happiness flooding all over her she moves back to the bedroom, pushes the curtain window aside and stares at beautiful light blue sky… she smiles.
the guy
he is smart for his age but still a kid at heart… quite tall and handsome with just the right mess of hair. his eyes though beautiful as they twinkle… hides a sad past.
he wakes up to slight movement on the bed… he squints a bit and sees her looking up at him… he decides to kiss her because of her pleasantness and she kisses back… he lets her stroke his hair and pretends to sleep… he is happy at the thought of last night… they talked about the silliest and serious of things, from dancing marshmallows to religions causing war… until… he kissed her and she kissed back. he took off her clothes and she took off his. and for what seemed like a long time… they were naked in bed.
he just laid there, enjoying the peaceful moment of contentment… then, she gets up… he sees her moving towards the kitchen… he could see her through the slightly open door and saves a “mind” snapshot of her once in a blue moon smiles… he wonders if he could love her but knows that she will never be his, but that’s okay, he is happy just to simply be… as love, it is freely given…
he listens to the kitchen noises and after about half an hour of a symphony of kitchen sounds, she comes back and looks up at the morning sky…
